How many days are normal to have bloating post coil fitting ?
Many thanks for your question and apologies for my slow response - I am on holiday at the moment - not much internet so not checking the forum very regularly.
I think if it is a copper coil then you should not really expect bloating at all - unless it is the time of your cycle when. you have bloating anyway. A piece of copper and plastic in your womb should not change your hormones at all and therefore not change your risk of bloating.
If it is a hormone coil then it will release small amounts of progestagen into your blood stream and that may be associated with bloating - this might be an ongoing side effect if this is how your body responds to this hormone. Side effects like this can get better with time so it is also worth monitoring it over the next few weeks to see how you go.
