I’ve just sent off a blood sample to test for HIV, but was just wondering what the protocol would be if the result is positive, during the Coronavirus pandemic. Thank you. @Dr_Paula
Many thanks for your question. If you result was to be reactive (not positive, because we cannot confirm positives on such a small blood sample) then we would discuss this with you on the phone and organise for you to be seen in clinic. Clinics are still seeing people when necessary and this would be a case where it was necessary.
