SH test for a woman - concern

#1

@Dr_Paula hi I recently did the swab test, and I’m sure at the time I did it correctly with it needing to touch the vaginal wall, but now I’m worried I didn’t do that for long enough.
When it gets tested at the lab, does it flag that maybe I didn’t provide a good enough sample?
I am not overly worried that I have an STI but I am being cautious before a new relationship starts.
Should I get tested again?

Hello

The standard instructions are to place the swab in the vagina for about a minute. You just need to pick up enough dischage for testing. The lab does not tell us whether the sample is adequate. If you are concerned then you can always test again.

Many thanks
